  • One line bio: Practitioner research focused on multicultural education specific to technological transformation and pedagogy equity.
I have been a teacher for 17 years, teaching students in learning and innovation. My research activity is concerned with impact and needs to have a practical relevance in real organisational learning environments. The words below have increasingly shaped my research directions and movements. Short term my main focus is on teaching and research specific to multiculturalism, learning styles and diagnostics tools. Fascinates me and there is a real need for more research and development in this area - especially in Europe and the East. Medium/longer term want to continue with current direction in some form and also want to open a school for youth (focus on, but not exclusively, refugees/migrants - my most effective work I have been doing over past few years I feel is with migrants so want to do more and feels natural path.... ) middle east or south east asia with a few friends .. but complicated with countries and cultures so need to move slowly and see where it takes me!? I guess take me longer than expect.

Muslim Veil & the Attack on Personal Freedom
23-October-2006
The knee jerk response to the Muslim veil which seems to have snow balled. A license for what seems to be discriminatory practice. Here is some comparison's across Europe and what seems to be draconian practice from the state. The emphasis is how many feel unconfortable with the veil in terms of communicating. So where does the responsibility go - to the wearer or the ones who fail to raise awareness of the diversity of cultural practice??
