MC-DIP - Multicultural Diagnostics Information Profiling
MC-DIP (Multicultural Diagnostics Information Profiling) is a two year project finishing in 2007, funded by the European Union under the Socrates Minerva initiative.
With partners from the UK, Denmark, Austria and Greece, the project has been developing and investigating the use of learning-styles profiles to help personalise e-learning.
MC-DIP is a multicultural education, diagnostic and learning styles resource developed to support learners, teachers, and researchers. Central to the online resource is exploring the role of learning styles diagnostics in raising the awareness of learners to their personal learning needs.
The initiative is rooted in collaborative teaching and learning in the context of ethnic minority and migrant groups. This directly supports a core challenge of our practice in helping combat racism and xenophobia and to offset the effects of socio-economic disadvantages.
The group welcomes anyone who is interested in joining MC-DIP who has an interest in multicultural education issues.
